Boat owners know - keeping your boat protected from the elements helps ensure it will last longer and decreases wear and tear. Storage is always needed for your boating gear, and having a place in the shade to hang out right by the water is certainly a plus. With timber framed boathouses you can achieve that with style!
Take a look at some timber framed boathouses we built and let's start planning yours!
We created the custom balusters, designed to complement the metal picket ornaments our client selected.
We can think of lots of times we'd like to be here - morning coffee, al fresco dining, a nap after water skiing, sunset.....
Lake Burton, Georgia Boathouse
This cypress timber frame houses boats on the bottom level and provides both shade and an uncovered area for relaxing up top.
Lake Burton, Georgia Boathouse
The white oak timber frame was raised over a stone boat garage with lifts. A large covered area framed with king post trusses creates a shaded area to relax and dine. The adjacent building houses a kitchen and bathroom, making cookouts easy and keeping wet feet out of the owner's house!
Lake Rabun, Georgia Boathouse
The white pine timber framed boathouse features a curved bottom chord truss supporting the entry roof. A nice shady spot to relax and enjoy the view of the lake leads into an enclosed storage area.
Did someone say relax?
During raisings -
Signaling the crane
Flying a bent
Not a bad job site!
