This custom timber frame home is just a few miles from our shop in Long Creek. Through the woods on the property is the eastern white pine creek side pavilion we previously built for the homeowners.
We cut and raised the full structural main frame, along with two gable porches with curved bottom chords, and a wrap around porch. Tongue and groove ceiling decking and 8" roof SIPs topped off the frame.
The main floor features a large open plan kitchen, dining, and great room. A stunning feature is the stone chimney serving fireplaces both in the great room and the back porch. Down the hall are a guest room, bathroom, and mudroom, leading to the small gable porch on the home's side.
Upstairs, the loft holds the main bedroom with an en suite bathroom. Across the catwalk is an open sitting area. Hand crafted by the builder are custom bunkbeds designed specially for the homeowners' grandchildren and a double bed underneath.
There is no lack of porch space at this custom timber frame home! A generous front porch houses a swing at the far end, and wraps around one side of the home, and around to the back. The small side covered porch leads into the hall mudroom, guest room, and full bathroom.
The ground level has an open floor plan with room for family gatherings and cozy relaxing. Custom timber frame open tread stairs lead upstairs.
Upstairs you can fully appreciate the beauty of the timber frame itself.
And outside you have your pick of porches, each one looking out on to beautiful, peaceful views.
A short walk through the woods leads you to the timber frame pavilion we built previously. Nestled in next to a lovely creek this spot is a favorite for family time.
