Solid eastern white pine timber frames the home and its succeeding lofts. An open timber frame staircase winds through all four floors. Natural poplar timbers, cut on site, accent this home and help create its unique ambiance.
The full timber frame structure is crafted with traditional pegged mortise and tenon joinery and enclosed with structural insulated panel walls (SIPs). Our scope of work was the timber frame and SIPs. The home was finished by a local general contractor.
Home Owner
The homeowners wanted to use several poplar trees from the build site. Incorporating them into the timber frame created focal points and was an important design element.
