Timber Frame Pool Pavilion – Ansley Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia

We crafted this timber frame pool pavilion from solid Douglas fir timbers. The large hammer beam trusses sit proudly upon Tuscan columns giving the pool’s courtyard a needed respite from the hot Atlanta sun. It provides shade for swimmers, and relaxation for members after enjoying a day on the green.

Douglas fir is prized for its structural strength and minimal shrinkage. Hammer beam trusses can span a greater width without interior supports than other types of trusses. Both of these choices allow for a wide open space with great structural integrity.
